“The trial of former Rwandan intelligence chief Pascale Simbikangwa has started in Paris.Simbikangwa has been charged with crimes against humanity, but has denied all charges against him. France has also been accused of complicity over its support of the Rwandan regime.Rwanda’s genocide, which took place between April and July 1994, killed 800,000 people.Simbikangwa has been in French custody for more than four years Al Jazeera’s Emma Hayward reports from Paris.”
